Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, I had always had a strong desire to study and live abroad. To follow my dream, I moved to Canada in 2015 and obtained my honors Diploma at Humber College majoring in Multimedia Design & Development, where I learned all about multimedia including UX/UI design, coding, and motion graphics. Pursuing my interest in UX/UI design led me to work for multiple tech companies as a creative problem solver. Currently, I'm based in Toronto, Ontario, working as a Product Designer at Getty Images.
I desire user-centred approaches that consider accessibility and usability including aesthetics to ensure effortless & delightful user experience.
Everyone has their right to be treated equally no matter what. Making non-discriminatory, inclusive designs for every person is one of my ultimate goals.
I strive to be a humble designer. Being humble not only allows myself to be receptive to feedback but also enables me to build stronger empathy for my users as well.
I hand-coded this portfolio website from scratch using pure HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
I was in the army for two years where taught me how to be more disciplined and responsible as a team player.
Back in Korea, I worked as an office admin specialist for three years. However, I started to feel complacent so I took the plunge to leave for Canada to study and pursue my design career!
